Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it. Effective July 3, 2026.
The short version
We run our own analytics on this marketing website — no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers of any kind. Nothing we collect on this site is sold, shared for advertising, or sent to a data broker. Driver verification records inside the CDLVOE application are processed on behalf of our carrier customers, encrypted at rest, and stored in US data centers.
1. Website analytics (this marketing site)
To understand how visitors find and use cdlvoe.com — and to test improvements to our pages — we operate a self-hosted, first-party analytics system. When you visit our public pages we record: the pages you view, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link you followed, the country your IP address resolves to, your browser and device type, time on page, and whether you start a signup or request a demo.
We assign your browser a random first-party identifier (the evr_vid cookie, 400-day lifetime) so repeat visits count as one visitor and so page-variant tests show you a consistent page. This identifier is a random number: it contains no personal information and is never linked to your name or email unless you create an account. Your IP address is used only in-memory to derive a country code and is never stored by our analytics system. Full browser user-agent strings are not stored either — only coarse categories like “Chrome on Windows, desktop”. Raw analytics events are deleted after 13 months. (Separately from analytics, if you create an account, security and audit logs of account activity — sign-ins, signups, administrative actions — do record IP addresses, and are retained for up to one year.)
Standard browser controls (blocking or clearing cookies, “Do Not Track” content blockers) will limit or stop this measurement, and the site works fully without it.
2. Application data (the CDLVOE product)
Motor carriers use CDLVOE to run FMCSA § 391.23 employment verifications. Driver applications, consent records, and verification correspondence are processed on the carrier’s behalf and under the carrier’s direction as the employer of record. This data is transmitted over TLS, stored in United States data centers with credentials and integration secrets additionally encrypted at the application layer, and retained per FMCSA driver-qualification-file requirements under the carrier’s control. We do not use driver records for marketing, and we do not sell them — to anyone, ever.
3. IP geolocation
Country-level geolocation on this website includes GeoLite2 Data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com. We use this data only to count visitors at the country level. It is never used to identify a specific individual, household, or street address, and never used for credit, insurance, employment, or any other eligibility determination.
4. Cookies & browser storage
evr_vidcookie — random first-party visitor identifier for analytics and page-variant consistency (400 days).evr-sessioncookie — keeps you signed in to the application after you create an account.cdlvoe-theme— your light/dark preference, kept in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us.
There are no third-party cookies on this site.
5. Service providers
To deliver the product we share the minimum necessary data with: Amazon Web Services (US-based cloud hosting), Stripe (payment processing — we never see or store full card numbers), Telnyx (fax delivery of verification documents, and SMS delivery of one-time identity codes to phone numbers drivers provide), Anthropic (AI-assisted analysis of inbound verification replies, under API terms that prohibit training on the data), and email infrastructure providers configured by each carrier. Each processes data solely to provide their service to us.
6. Your choices & contact
You can browse this site with cookies blocked, ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Drivers whose records are processed in the application should direct requests to their hiring carrier, who controls that data; we assist carriers in fulfilling them. For any privacy question or data request, email privacy@cdlvoe.com. We will update this policy as the product evolves and change the effective date above when we do.
